I've dowloaded the software and everything is working fine, except I was not prompted, nor can I find the correct area, to create a password to enable a secure connection with our laptop. HELP!

Everything is working fine and my computer is also uptodate. I am using Windows 2000. The problem is that when I connect my USB wireless card, the light blinks but there is neither any prompt message nor there is any pick up of wireless networks. I am also at loss where to input the password info. Please HELP ! ASAP. Thanking you in advance.
