Mitsubishi VS-50703 blurry after move

I have a Mitsubishi VS-50703 50 in projection TV. I recently moved and ever since the move I have had a blurry picture from my TV, it doesn't matter if the signal is from cable or dvd. Even the menu seems blurry its kind of a double picture or halo effect. I don't know if there is a way to focus it through a menu function or if I need to call a tech. please help!!!

PS - I inherited this TV from my parents and I don't have the original remote or owners manual.

Re: Mitsubishi VS-50703 blurry after move

A halo effect usually means the coolant in the CRTs need replacing in the effected color usually blue goes first followed by green. red seems to be less prone for some reason.

Try resoldering the vertica IC. Very common problem. When vertical drops out the CRTs go into blanking ( shutdown no picture) but the menu and on screen displays will still work. Resoldering the IC will usually solve the issue.

Mitsibishi VS-50703 will not power on. just here a click and shuts down

check from the ouput of the SMPS possible that the +B main is shorting., Use a multimeter to check on the main PCB only if you are familiar with poweer electronics. other wise just checkover for burnt components and replace if there is a shorted diode, transistor, capacitor or an open fusible. IF you systematically probe you might get to the problem provided you are aware of the stages and circuit.. hope my advise has helped ?

Small white lines accross top of screen

This could be a format issue that maybe your TV does not support. Also try switching to a different input (component 1,2 ,3 or HDMI 1,2,3 )

Mitsubishi VS-50703 Picture Foggy

Open up the back and look for coolant leaks in the CRT's. If you are curious as to what it is, it's the same type of stuff they use to make antifreeze. If you see something wet, it should feel slippery if you get it on your fingers and rub them together.
