Question about Fisher Paykel EcoSmart GWL15
I purchased this gas dryer in June of 2007. I have been noticing for some time "melted" material in some of the items that come out of the dryer. I started noticing it with fleece materials. They developed hard spots, like it somehow melted, but didn't put a hole in the material.
I dryed a mattress pad cover and found numerous holes in it and the area surrounding the holes was hard, like it was melted. Now I have noticed spots that have melted on our winter coats after drying them.
Is it possible that the tumbler is not rotating and developing hot spots in the back of the dryer - thus causing these "molten" areas where the heat comes through the back of the dryer?
Any information of this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Wow, sounds like a major safety issue and possible fire hazzard to me. Try contacting the manufacturer of your unit and do it before the warranty runs out so you have full warranty benefits. Good luck.
