My surround system is the Pioneer XV-DV430 in relation to the question posted re the XXD3058 remote

  • bobbo4452 Jan 14, 2008

My problem is that I'm not sure how to adjust each of the 5 speakers for decible volume while the tone tester is running. I am trying to balance my system for my room.

  • bobbo4452 Jan 14, 2008

I can control volume using the master volume toggle which takes all speakers up or down at their present settings, but how can each individual speaker be adjusted? This remote is new to me and I do not have a manual

  • bobbo4452 Jan 14, 2008

I believe that a second solution was sent but I am having difficulty viewing it because when I click on my profile link in the email I am not taken to the page to view the solution. I have also sent an email regarding this. Bobbo

Dear experts, I have identified my receiver in an earlier posting. It is the Pioneer XVDV430. Again the remote is the Pioneer XXD3058. When I go to the tone test button I am getting an on screen report of +1 decible on each of the front speakers, -5 decibles on the center speaker, + 10 decibles on each of the rear speakers and +3 decibles on the sub woofer. The speakers including the sub woofer have no adjustments at all. I figure that the remote has a button that should allow the adjustments and that is why I paid my money for your know how. Not much luck so far, I guess I'm back on my own. Manuals cost as much as the remote itself.

It depends what receiver you use, some will allow you to change each speaker seperately, but if your receiver does not have this option you could install a knob that does this for each speaker which is a lot of work.

But your system should send equal sound to each speaker.

I do know that you can turn most subwoofers down at the back of the unit.

Hope that helped, if not, include a more detailed question of what you want.

Just fill your info in and paste this in the Inquiry Box:

    "Dear Recipient

I'm using a Pioneer XV-DV430 Receiver which I have been happy with for a long time, due to some changes, I need to change all the speakers' volumes seperately in order to have it adapt to my room. I'm using a Pioneer XXD3058 remote and I was wondering how to do this, Help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Ahead, Bobbo "

I recommend using that, if you want to.

    I hope they will help.

`Have trouble adjusting volume. When i try to adjust the volume tone is very scatchy and breaking up..something seems to be wrong with volume control knob.

1) Turn your speakers off.
2) While blowing a can of compressed air into the switch, twist the knob up and down a bunch of times.
3) Repeat step 2 for roughly 10 minutes, blowing the dust out of the volume controller.

Try it again..

Good luck!!

How do I make the phone ring/ Also how do I delete number's/

Activating Personal Ring
You can assign special ringer tones to anyone in your phonebook. When your phone gets a call, it looks up the Caller ID information in your phonebook. If you've assigned a personal ringer to that number, the phone uses it so you know who is calling. To turn the personal ringing on or off, follow these steps:
  1. Press [Menu/Select]. Select the HANDSET SETUP menu, and then the PERSONAL RING submenu.
  2. Move the cursor to select ON or OFF.
  3. Press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Selecting a Ring Tone (Handset only)
You may choose from four melodies or three tones for your phone's primary ring tone. Each handset can use a different ring tone or melody. The available ring tones are as listed:
  1. Press [Menu/Select]. Select the HANDSET SETUP menu, and then the RINGER TONES submenu.
  2. Move the cursor to select a ring tone. As each ring tone is highlighted, you will hear a sample.
  3. When you hear the tone you want to use, press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Adjusting the Speaker Volume
Handset Speakerphone: You can choose from six volume levels for the handset speakerphone. To adjust the speaker volume while on a speakerphone call, press the UP Arrow button (to make it louder) or the Down Arrow button (to make it softer).
Base Speaker: You can choose from ten volume levels for the base speaker. To adjust the speaker volume while call screening or playing messages, press [volume +] (to make it louder) or [volume -] (to make it softer).

Adjusting the Audio Tone
If you aren't satisfied with the audio quality of your phone, you can adjust the Audio Tone of the earpiece while on a call. Your phone gives you three audio tone options: low, natural and high; the default setting, Natural Tone, is recommended for hearing aid users. Audio tone adjustments only apply to the earpiece, not the speakerphone.
To adjust the audio tone:
  1. While on a call, press [Menu/Select].
  2. Move the cursor to select AUDIO TONE, and then press [Menu/Select].
  3. Move the cursor to select desired option (HIGH TONE, NATURAL TONE, or LOW TONE), and then press [Menu/Select]. Selected option appears in the display for two seconds, and then the display returns to normal.
Deleting Phonebook Entries
You can delete a single phonebook entry at a time or all phonebook entries at once:
To delete a single phonebook entry:
  1. When the phone is in standby, press the phonebook key.
  2. Find the entry that you want to delete and press [Menu/Select].
  3. Select DELETE. DELETE ENTRY? appears in the display.
  4. Move the cursor to select YES.
  5. Press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone, and DELETED! appears in the display.
Deleting Caller ID Numbers
  1. To delete only one Caller ID number, press the Caller ID button when the phone is in standby, and then find the number you want to delete.
  2. Press [Menu/Select] and select DELETE ENTRY.
  3. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES.
  1. To delete all the Caller ID numbers, press the Caller ID button when the phone is in standby, and then press [Menu/Select].
  2. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES.
Note: When you delete a Caller ID number, you delete it permanently.

Deleting a Redial Record
If you want to delete a phone number from the handset's redial list, follow the steps below:
  1. When the phone is in standby, press [Redial/Pause].
  2. Use the UP Arrow button and the Down Arrow button to scroll through the redial list.
  3. When you find the redial number you want to delete, press [Menu/Select] and select DELETE ENTRY.
  4. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES. The redial number is deleted.
Resetting the Voice Message Waiting Indicator
  1. When you receive a new voice mail message, the new message LED on the top of the handset flashes and VM appears in the handset display.
  2. In the event your message alert tone gets out of sync with your phone company's voice messaging system, you can reset back to its original "no messages waiting" state.
  3. To reset, press and hold [find hs] on the base for five seconds.
  4. A beep sounds and the message alert tone is reset.

Im trying to turn up the gain on my pioneer denon 791 and i cant find it. I've turned up my subwoofer on all of my DSP functions, but I cant find the gain. Can you help me?

"pioneer denon 791"???

Gain is volume. Does that help?

You should adjust all the relative speaker levels to the Front Speakers using test tones and usually leave them alone after that.

A am not getting any sound when faxing or when faxes are coming through and my volume is on loud why is that.. I disconnected plugged it back in changed some settings and i still get nothing

Your HP all-in-one provides three levels for adjusting the ring and speaker volume. The ring volume is the volume of the phone rings. The speaker volume is the level of everything else, such as the dial tones, fax tones, and button press beeps. The default setting is Soft.
1 Press Setup.
2 Press 4, and then press 8.
This displays the Basic Fax Setup menu and then selects Ring and Beep Volume.
3 Press to select one of the options: Soft, Loud, or Off.
Note If you select Off, you will not hear a dial tone, fax tones, or incoming ring
tones.
4 Press OK.

Pioneer receiver sx-315

With persistence, I was able to program the Universal Remote Control provided with the cable box to control my new used Pioneer SX-315 receiver. I now can control the tv volume, cable box, auxiliary stereo receiver with speaker system with one remote. Thank goodness I did not have to resort to buying a Pioneer remote control.

I was able to program another previously unused universal remote which I purchased several years ago. However, since the other remote control did not list the Vizio TV. That brand is too new for the remote.
