Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Error code 20

My washer keeps getting this code and my clothes are soaking wet and it will not spin the water out

I'm having the same problem.... it won't drain the water properly and wont spin.... I tried washing one pair of levis only, and got the same problem.... if I try the spin only cycle without any clothes in it, it will srin, but only after a very slow drain process... am trying to wash just a pair of socks right now with the 'quick wash' setting... I suspect that something is clogging the drain tube before the pump as the pump comes on and tries to pump the water but only a little bit comes out and then it stops and waits... a few days before this happened, I washed a pillow that unbeknown to me, had a rip in it, and a lot of the stuffing came out... I'm now wondering if this clogged the drain tube. I read on another site, that the tubes or even the pump can become clogged with all sorts of stuff, even change, drill bits, etc... once I finish the socks test, I'm gonna see if I can get to the pump and have a look see at it and the hoses...

Re: Error code 20

I think your on the right track but a couple of things you need to know first that model washer wont spin tiny loads or one articles of clothing it has a device in the motor called a tacho generator to balance if you have only a small load it cant sense the balance and most of the time will only rock back and forth second your pump is the most likely culprit if you look in side the washer you will see a seem in the tub next to that will be one of the washer tumblers take the screws out of that tumbler slide it forward there will be a hole there rotate the tub to your right and you will find the hole going down to the drain pump can check it there but i don't think you'll find any thing as that is a larger hole it think your drain pump is now if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water ou of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your remove the two screws on the front lowerpanel and pull the panel

The washer won't spin dry. It fills and empties but the clothes are soaking wet.

If washer is spinning but clothes are wet suspect a partial blockage in the outlet pipe. This will cause the water to drain to slow and leave some in the outer drum while spin occurs but this ends up back in the clothes.

Clothes soaking wet after washer is done

There is either a problem with the drain or spin cycle. Before the spin cycly starts, ensure that the water drains fully. If it does, then it may either be the belt slipping or the timer malfunctioning. If there is water in the tub when it starts spinning, then you have a blockage in the drain line.

Does not drain error code f2

There is a block in your pump, you have to locate it, dismantle it & remove the block. Plug off the wall first.

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

Washer does not complete its cycle on any wash cycle. Error Code F 02 shows up before rinse and spin is complete. Clothes are soaking wet. What is the problem?

check the drain hose for any blockages or kinks and check to make sure water passes through it freely. it may be that it's just not emtying quick enough and therefore clothes remain wet. in a worse case scenario the pump itself could be faulty :(
