Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer
My washer keeps getting this code and my clothes are soaking wet and it will not spin the water out
I'm having the same problem.... it won't drain the water properly and wont spin.... I tried washing one pair of levis only, and got the same problem.... if I try the spin only cycle without any clothes in it, it will srin, but only after a very slow drain process... am trying to wash just a pair of socks right now with the 'quick wash' setting... I suspect that something is clogging the drain tube before the pump as the pump comes on and tries to pump the water but only a little bit comes out and then it stops and waits... a few days before this happened, I washed a pillow that unbeknown to me, had a rip in it, and a lot of the stuffing came out... I'm now wondering if this clogged the drain tube. I read on another site, that the tubes or even the pump can become clogged with all sorts of stuff, even change, drill bits, etc... once I finish the socks test, I'm gonna see if I can get to the pump and have a look see at it and the hoses...
I think your on the right track but a couple of things you need to know first that model washer wont spin tiny loads or one articles of clothing it has a device in the motor called a tacho generator to balance if you have only a small load it cant sense the balance and most of the time will only rock back and forth second your pump is the most likely culprit if you look in side the washer you will see a seem in the tub next to that will be one of the washer tumblers take the screws out of that tumbler slide it forward there will be a hole there rotate the tub to your right and you will find the hole going down to the drain pump can check it there but i don't think you'll find any thing as that is a larger hole it think your drain pump is now if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water ou of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case.now remove the two screws on the front lowerpanel and pull the panel
