Re: ISDN - usb adapter

Remove the adapter from your computer and look at the chip for the serial # or product #, or look on the original packaging. once you have located your pruduct # do a google search for "_______ drivers" or go to and seach for it. If you reply back with the pruduct # of your adapter i'd be happy to search the web for a driver and give you the link.

Error 211

When getting error 211, you will need to manually install the drivers for the adapter.

Exit from the error message, then remove the CD and restart your computer.

Plug linksys usb adapter, the computer will detect the adapter.

Right-click on My computer then click properties, go to Hardware > Device Manager.

Under Other Devices, you will see 802.11 g WLAN with an exclamation point. Right-click on it and select Update drivers.

Then insert the CD. (If the installation setup screen appears, just exit it.)

Then on the update driver screen, click browse and select your CD-ROM drive.

Then click finish.

If you are using Win 7, follow the steps from this link.

If you cannot open the link, just go to In the search bar type 20873. Answer title: Error 211 - Installing Driver Manually for network adapters to work in Win7.

I hope this helps!

Linksys wusb600n on windows 7

WUSB600N version 2 will work with Win 7 using the Win Vista drivers.

You may refer to this link for compatible devices that work with Win 7.

You may also use the Win 7 driver - Ver. (32-bit, 64-bit).

Here is the link for the instructions to manually install the drivers.

Hope this helps!

Unable to unistall to reinstall new driver

I think your best bet would be to disable the network adapter in "Device Manager". Install the driver that you want to use, then restart the PC and see if it sets it up with the driver you want. I don't know if "Vista" has the "Driver Rollback" feature, but if it does you may can try that also. I'm thinking the reason error messages occur when you're trying to uninstall that driver is because it's in use and needs to first be disabled. I'm not too familiar with Vista cause I've heard many bad things about it and didn't want to chance it, so unfortunately I can only give you my best guess ... hope this helps

The Realtek EAPPkt Protocol Service failed to start

Try this..1.Try to uninstall the USB adapter and re install it again. To do this go to Add/Remove Programs under Control Panel and find the usb adapter your install in this case its Alfa Wireless USB Adapter and uninstall it and restart your computer after uninstallation. 2. Remove the USB adapter while restarting and insert it again until windows already loaded and all windows startup program have all been started.
3. System will look for the system driver of USB adapter and it will prompt you for the driver location in this window do not choose the recomended instead click browse and locate the driver cd and look for driver folder and select the applicable driver for your operating system such as WinXP if your using XP.
4. If there is no driver folder in cd, go to my computer, explore cd and run setup or install this will install the pending driver installation.
