Question about Kitchen Ranges

Broken Oven Light

Amana ACF3325AS Gas range. Everything works except oven light. Bulb is fine...bought several new ones...assume it must be the fuse but don't have the manual anymore and have no idea how to undertake this safely. Any suggestions...or am I more likely to mess something else up...and really how big of a deal is a light!

No difference in the light working or not if the door part is clicked on/off, and no change when "oven light" is switched on on digital display on oven itself...would be surprised if both switches are burned out unless inside they are one and the same...I have no idea how to go about looking at this....any suggestions? or am I back to the maybe fuse issue...or so what it's just an oven light...leave it alone lady! :)

Very helpful thank you. Not the switch though...lucky for me as I had no idea how to fix. Unfortunatley once bent tab and put in new bulb it lit...but threw sparks and blew instantly...SCARY...thought the whole stove was toast for a minute but thankfully only tripped the breaker downstairs. Probably a wiring issue...had a mouse the drawer around the time the light first blew...probably connected. Since everything else perfect with the stove I think I should leave this alone...Beyond my skills! Hate to mess up a great stove!

Thanks so much for your help!!!

I would look at the switch as the problem for this. Either the one on the door, or the one you turn on yourself.

First turn off the power. Next make sure the little tab at the bottom inside the socket is making contact with the end of the bulb. I have had this problem before and all it needed was to bend the little tab out a bit. That is the easy thing to check. Next is the switch. If I am correct the light is turned on by opening the door and by flipping an on/off switch, right? This is wired in a 3 way manner. If the common has burnt out on one, then it will effect the other. I haven't ever seen an oven light that had an individual fuse for just the light. Are there any other functions that do not work?

I have an Amana oven with Model # ACF3325AS. A month ago I had a code F3, which a repair man resolved. Now I've got a F2 code stating that the oven is overheating. Can you help with what part I'm...

Hi

F2/F3 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Oven will not light

Most likely your oven igniter is faulty. When they get worn they will heat up but not get hot enough for the gas to turn on.

Hello, I have a Frigidaire freestanding crown series gas range that has two problems. The most important being that the oven does not light. The stovetop lights, except one burner that you hav to light...

I figured it was the ignitor given the burners work fine and I could smell gas from the oven when I would try to turn it on. So I found a local parts store and bought the replacement ignitor. I cut the wires of the old ignitor close to the ceramic and spliced the new one on with porcelain nuts and voila my oven now works again!
