Question about Cobra DC5600 Digital Camera
Ok my husband got it for me in dec. of 2006. Ok I hadnt never used the flash on it until dec.2007 at parents house for christmas. Anyways when I used the flash it went hay wire. I had brand new batteries in it before I use it. And when I tried to use it wouldnt do nothing. The green light was on but the flash wouldnt work on it. And when I contacted the manufacturing company they couldnt do nothing about it cause it didnt have no warranty. The warranty had ran out. But what I was wondering if it needs a new bulb or something.
Holy cow! It is a 10 year old camera that cost no more than $50 new! Throw it away and buy another.

LED's do matter how they're installed.
Test your LED leads w/ a batt. first before soldering in you 29 board.
Look at you existing leads from you burnt out bulb. One red?
Then its your Pos terminal. when your LED lights up on your Batt. test you'll know which one is the POS/NEG legs. then resolder it into your board.

Its probably wired different than Cobra like Microphones are. If you tamper with wires you may try combinations and it may work. Otherwise, best to buy Cobra replacement.

That should work....
Are you connected directly to the battery???
Are they good solid connections??
Do the connections heat up and spark/smoke....or does the inverter kick out??
You are about maxed out on what you can run on that setup, but it should be running for you...sometimes a heating element load can be problematic though... they pull more they you think or they say they will...
