Re: Gurus.. Answer me this..

Ken- I have read your work around the net already so I know you can handle the suggestions I give.

On the DV1000
try the 2 MOSFETS next to the power jacks. I think they are Anachip 4407 or Fairchild 4435
Then check the MAXIM 1999

- When plugging in the DC to the unit, check to see if you are getting a spark. If so you have a dead short across the NEG circuits, and will have to look real close around the DC jack.
Toshiba - No video or blank video
Check Q1 & Q3 near the DC Jack

I could use some tips on the DELL 11xx/51xx series charge circuits if you could...

I want the replacement motherboard part number

The part number you posted on the FixYa site is correct for a replacement board. It is actually designed for the DV1300 series but will work iin many DV1000 series notebooks. If you get on E-Bay and put that part number in the search box, you will find many that are for sale and under 120 bucks. Good luck

Wireless Connectivity lost after installation of StartRight application software

Just a question .... Did it connect ok before you installed this new software?

If the answer is yes, uninstall the software, if still not connecting after that, restore your computer to before that software was installed.

Let me know if this helps, if not, please, write back so we can go from there.
