Water does not drain out and the dishwasher stops with an error code. When I check the drain and the drain line - it is clean and water flows easy through it.

When I pull the washer out and put it back the error is removed and the water drains. We use it everyday and this happened three times in four months....a mistery.

There is no error code on my dishwasher. I think it might be the drain pump, but I can't tell. I am so frustrated right now....

As suspected, it is most likely the drain pump.

For one that works intermittently, the impeller is probably slipping on the motor shaft. Sometimes it grips, other times it doesn't, causing the water to not be removed, which the machine senses and shuts down.

If this occurs during the wash cycle itself, there may also be a problem with the wash pump. That usually displays an E1 error.
