Question about Samsung SGH-d807 Cellular Phone

Couple buttons stopped working

I've had this phone for a little over a year and the call button, the top left button above the call button, and the left arrow button next to the call button dont respond when I press them. When using my phone, i need those buttons and cant get around not using them. Before they stopped working, they would sometimes stop working... then sometimes work again... but now they just dont work. Please is there anything I can do to fix them (taking apart the phone or idk wutever). I loved this phone and hate using my old one now.

Re: couple buttons stopped working

You could try taking it apart then clean it out ie dust or sand but i recently took my old phone part like yours and decided its easier to buy someones broken phone(ebay) like yours with a cracked lcd or something and use the key board from that phone to yours.

How do i get sound to work for recieving text messages

Depends on the phone, but on iPhone there is a very small lever on the top left edge above the volume UP button.

You should also check Settings - Sounds - Text Messages

My Nokia 6300 is dropped .Then the LCD and replacing case are broken. It still rings and can dial. How can I recover the contact numbers on the phone without DISPLAY? Thanks in advance,

since the phone is ringing and you are able to dial the mother board is intact. you dont need the display i will send the sequence of keys to be pressed which will lead to copying of the contacts to the sim.
then you can put the sim in a different phone and view them.

menu( center button in the joystick key)
up (in joystick key)
center button
center button
top left button( above the call key)
up (in joystick key)
center button
top left button( above the call key)
down(in joystick key)
center button
center button

now it will start copying all the contacts to your sim.
wait for a minute or two
and then you have the contacts copied to your sim.
b4 copying clear the sim so that it has enough memory to copy all your contacts

hope it helps

Motorola hint _HELP ME

This happens to me too! I have the same phone, and randomly, for no reason at all, the send button, the up and left buttons, along with the button above the back button, will stop working temporarily, its frustrating as heck because it usually happens in the middle of texting or when I actually need to do something, what I find works, (no joke) is to hit it, the button area, usually (not to hard) a good jostle gets the buttons working for me.

Can't turn off the mute on my phone

I have the same phone, when you close it with the camera facing you you will see the two buttons on the left side. One is long (on top) and the small one is on the bottom, or under neath it. You press the long putton which is above and you should see the word STYLE: followed by either "Silent" " Vibrate" "Loud" etc. Once you have pressed the skinny long button on the left side and the screen says STYLE: silent then you press the little button below it once, then press it again, etc it cycles through the different ringing modes like silent, vibrate, vibrate then ring, soft, and loud. You press it until you see a setting you like and then press the long skinny button on top to set it. I keep mine on Loud. I hope this helps.
