Everything seems to be working, but the audio has a lot of noise when playing back? Robert

1) Make sure your webcam mic is set as default
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray or from Control Panel
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

Click "Recording" tab.
To set required (webcam) mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click 'OK'
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Restart computer

2) During the recording you may be picking up feedback from your speakers - try using a set of headphones

Volume problems from my webcam

Go to control panel and click on SOUNDS and then VOICE and adjust the Microphone VOLUME. It sounds like yours needs to be increased.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

I have a Mikomi DC-7130 Webcam with Mic but cannot get any sound when I play back recordings. after re-loading the software twice I now find I cannot play the recorded video back with sound. I am now...

Click the 'Devices' menu and you should see a tick next to the Webcam name (USB 2.0 UVC Camera).

Underneath this should be the same name (USB 2.0 UVC Camera), select it and a tick will appear next to it.

This means that you are using the webcam as the mic for your video/webcam (instead of a seperate microphone).

Now click on the 'Capture' menu and the option 'Capture audio' will be available (previously it was greyed out)

Tick this/select it and your webcam will pick up the audio.

I hope this helps.

Also, if anyone finds the image a bit blurry, it can be sharpened bv rotating the webam lens.

Mikomi ap7121

I cannot find any place to get drivers for the mikomi webcams. All I could find is a manufacturer's phone number: 08456 403030.

Mikomi Webcams are made by Argos

You may just have to contact them for help.

Sound problems

Hi mack79, I would assume that you are using Yahoo Messenger on a Windows machine. By "I've done the mic set-up fine there", again I would assume that you have tried the YM Call Setup Assistant and you have a green light on that. By "...connected ...doesn't...pick... voices.", perhaps you simply have to activate handsfree. If my basis for assumptions are off, pls post back with details: 1. laptop or desktop; 2. are you using an external keyboard with Audio in/out; 3. is the Logitech built-in mic the only mic attached to your PC; and 4. are you using headset or external speakers? Good luck and kind regards.
