Check your wire connections on the back of the tv to make sure nothing had caused them to get unplugged OR been chewed through. If it doesn't fix the problem then try replacing your connections.

If you are seeing light then the back light is working. Can you get a menu?Do any of the other video inputs work? If no video but has backlight and no men or any on screen display replace main board.
Make sure your tv is on the right input first of all. The newer flat panel lcds combine the componenent video (red , blue, green) with the composite video and audio (yellow, red, white). If your tv is on the component input then you hear audio from the composite input since the audio inputs (red, white) are shared. Look for a source or tv input button on your remote or the tv itself and try pressing this button unti you see a picture with sound.
Try Shining a bright light at the screen. can you see any images on the screen? If you can, then the backlight on the tv has gone, and can be replaced.
If you cant then it may be a fault with the inverror (power) board on the TV
