LET ME KNOW HOW TO CONNECT A MICROPHONE TO Dav dz260

unwrap the cables and match them to their colour on the back of the speakers, front side, back rear, front & woofer.
Plug in the connections to the back of the DVD player, again all coded.
Turn system on and it will guide you through the sound setup, what this does is tweak the speakers for balance and power, then place the sound check mic in the middle of the room, then its best to get close to the door and press ok to test system, then leave the room shut the door while the sound configures, it takes about 3 - 4 mins and high pitch noise shoots around the room. buy 3 Optical Cables for PS3/HDTV and a Splitter, all working perfect.
Put on your favourite film and sit back and watch,
Playing on PS3, you need to go into audio setup to change to optical audio, this then allows the system to go through the home cinema.
just switch on the TV setting on your home cinema (aka DVD player) and this triggers your sound for the PS3. If you are using this late like I am having a young family it is best to turn the night setting on (easy click on the remote) this reduces the woofer base allowing everyone to enjoy the eve/night;-)

I have been using it for a week now and am still amazed by the quality.

In a Nutshell - HDTV (with Optical Out), Playstation 3 (with Optical Out) and the Home Cinema (with Optical out), I advise buying 3 optical cables and a splitter, one from the home cinema to the splitter main input, then channel one from the splitter to Playstation 3 and channel two from the splitter to HDTV. Its best to note that the Optical Cables do take preference over HDMI Cable therefore no sound will work through your system, with PS3 you have to go into the Sound Settings and change from HDMI to Optical and select the 5.1 channel for total surround.

I have creative inspire T6100 5.1. my working window is widow 7 in my pc. In sound test all the speaker are working but when i play songs then the center woofer & 2 rear woofer not working. they dont...

You may have to enable the additional speakers by entering the Creative software, which should have come with your sound card. On my system I left click on the Creative volume panel and the choose console launcher. After entering the Console Launcher you can change the speaker setup.

Front right speaker is not working

This may sound obvious, but have you plugged in all the plugs?a 4-channel sound system has two plugs that plug into the sound card. One is for the front speakers and part of the subwoofer, the other is the rear speakers and the other part of the subwoofer. AC97 audio normally supports only 2-channel.s your sound on-board?how many sockets does it have.A common AC97 normally has a green plug (for 2.1 speakers), a blue one for line in and a red one for a mic.A four-channel one will have a black socket for the other two speakers.and 5.1 has a yellow socket for the 5th speaker and woofer.
If your AC97 audio does not have the black socket, then you will need to buy a special card, like the Sound blaster 4.1 Digital (around £20-30).Or, if you want a 5.1 card, the Creative Audigy is considered the best, as the Audigy 2 is still expensive, and there are cheaper cards for 4.1.
Hopefully this should sort out the problem.I also have Creative Inspire M4500 4.1 speakers, and they have 2 plugs.

Trouble with rear speakers

This may be a software issue. If you only had two speakers before, the software will not use the rear speakers.
Go to Control Panel. Click on "Sound and Audio Devices". Under the Volume Tab, at the bottom, you will see a picture roughly representing the type of speakers.
Click on the Advanced button.
Click on the arrow in the pick box, and choose Surround Speakrs or the 5.1 Speakers.
Click Okay. Try the speakers again.

Windows 7 Audio Quadraphonic Not functioning well

Sounds like you are getting quad sound in the test process that checks them, yet when in windows media player or winamp (or whatever) your rear speakers aren't producing sound: Try setting your sound drivers to do something like "speaker fill" then you are set. I'm under the belief that stereo sounds aren't being matrixed into all 4 speakers.
