Laptop computer acer aspire 5920 with vista home premium evertime i drag a file to somewhere else after the transfer i get a pop up saying windows explorer has shut down and i have to bring up the folders again

to my best knowledge the preloaded os is Vista Home Premium so if you need to reboot your system you need to goto the start menu and select reboot...

alternatively you can do this also by entering the following code in the RUN....

shutdown -r -t 0

you can get the run by pressing 'windows key+r'

Go here: http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx select your laptop, scroll down, select your operating system, then click "applications" you should be able to download it there, for free.

hmm a bit odd for acer to just hang right up like that however their site does have driver files online for the aspire 4520 once the driver files for the acer crystal eye cam is installed reboot and see if it works if not let me know ASAP i have an acer aspire 5920 had the same issues (but ironicly able to run windows 10 no hitch with the camera)

Try to shut down it trough it frm shortcuts keys given on laptop or you can even re-install windows (if u hav no important data in tht laptop).

If not restart computer, after bios screen keep pressing f8 and select repair windows from the menu.

Go to the Acer WEB site to download the drivers you need, make sure it is Windows XP or Vista version for your particular MODEL laptop.

Best suggestion would be to back up all files and restore your computer using acer e-recovery manager. That will restore your pc to factory default. If that doesn't work then you should contact acer who generally are happy to help.
