Need help unlocking a razor phone without a sim card, dont have one

You will need to obtain an unlock code. Unfortunately you will have to pay a few bucks, it may be cheaper then buying a new phone.

If you dont get it from your service provider it's considered illegal and you could serve at least 2 years in prison.

You need to Google for a site that offerers unlock codes or find someone in your area with a Smart-Clip. The good news is once unlocked you can also flash actual T-Mobile firmware to the phone to make it truly T-Mobile.

just change the sim card,

if the phones are sim card compatible then you may switch the sim cards without going through any other steps.

All of your texts and numbers should all be on the SIM card itself and not the phone.

So you can give the phone itself to a friend but keep the sim.

I would recommend to both that you contact and follow your carriers verbal instructions regaurding this matter.

hi the problem with unlocking your phone is it can be only done using a flash lead and the software to unlock the phone the older motorola phones you could unlock using a code but when they made the newer ones they disabled this and the software on the phone dont allow you to remove the subsidy lock.
This is true for most newer phones uptill last year you could unlock all nokias using a code but the newer phones you cant do it.
The only way it can be done is take it into phone shop and pay small fee or you can buy the lead and download the software to unlock the phone.
If you goto ask.com and type in free motorola unlock codes
you will see that it cant be done on your model without a cable sorry i couldnt offer anymore help but all phone experts will tell you it cant be done using codes have a look for yourself let me know if you need further assistance

Hello, are you putting another t-mobile sim card into the device? If not, and you are trying to put another carriers sim card, the phone needs to be unlocked. If it is a t-mob sim, you either put a user lock on the razr, which means u gotta flash it to fix it, or you have a sim lock, which you would have to call tmobile to change you sim pin
