Books from CD to Sansa

How can I name the books I rip from a cd to Windows Media Player.
When they are synced to my player, they are listed as unknown artist, not under books?
The cd's are listed as "tracks" After listening to a track on my player, how can I determine where I left off? In other words if a book has many cd's and I left off at track #6, how can I find which cd it came from?

Have poloroid mp3 player model 151, 2 gbs, it won't play audio books, files with AA extension. site has no solution, i.e, doesn't list this device ed

MP3 players play audio/music files that have mp3 file extension.
You need to convert the audio books to MP3 format.
If the audio books are on a CD, then you can use Windows Media player to RIP (convert) this to MP3 files.

Delete the versions of the songs that you just ripped from your mp3 player
Now Sync the newly-ripped versions in mp3 format

Want to download audio book on CD to my MP3 player

I had this jumbled up problem as it wasn't splitting up the tracks ie I had 6 track ones lined up together which put the chapters out of sync.
The trick is to load each CD individually and immediately 'rename' each ie name of book, genre, CD1, CD2 etc.
Then you can drag and drop into the MP3 player and they will be in the correct order.
Worked for me anyway.

Yep you sure can. Depending on the version of Windows Media Player that you have it's pretty easy to rip the CD and then sync it to your Mix Max. I recommend using Windows Media Player 11 as it's the easiest so I'd recommend you install that first. Then insert your CD into your computer, open Windows Media Player and click on the "Rip" button at the top. Select the tracks on the CD that you want to add to the player and click "Start Rip." Once the tracks have completed ripping click on the "Sync" button at the top right of Windows Media Player. Then just drag the tracks from the library on the left to the sync list on the right and click "Start Sync."

Unknown songs and artists

You will have to take them off the player,
rip your cd with media player, then BEFORE you sync them to the player, rightclick on the song, choose Advance Tag Editor and rename the song, artist, genre, then you can sync them over with title and name locked in the file.
