I can get ice cubes but my ice crusher has stopped working.
i can toggle from cubes to crush and vice versa and the lights work but i do not get any crused ice.
what can i do to fix it?
There is a little bar that is on the ice bucket. That bar has to go into the middle of the plastic square that is on the back wall of the freezer. Try Pulling out the ice bucket, get a hair dryer and run the hair dryer on the back wall of the freezer right above the hole where that little bar goes. After you run the hair dryer for about 10 minutes or so put your finger in the hole and pull down on the plastic square. Make sure when you put the ice bucket back in the freezer, the bar goes inside the square hole, not under it, not over it. In it. If that doesn't fix the problem you probably just need a new solenoid. Part number 5304404333

I have the same problem, but have noticed that tweaking the spring on the back of the rod affects whether the gate opens or closes into the crush position. I can't quite figure out exactly what position the spring has to be in to consistently work. Is there a trick to it?

My ice makers little plastic door broke so i got a new crusher assembly. Now the ice maker in the crush position crushed some ice but lets more full cubes through than crushed. any ideas?

Reverse problem: Crushed ice works when button selected but crushed ice also comes out when CUBE button is selected, both lights work as well.

My ice crusher (GE Model GSS25JFMCCC)stopped working when a plastic part in the ice bin broke. I know how to change that, but I would also like to pull the control panel so as to clean the damper door on the dispenser and am at loss as to how to get that section apart. Any help would be appreciated.
GE side by side Profile TPS24PPBABS. Ice dispenser works in cube mode but not in crushed mode. The light comes on when I push the button but the auger doesn't turn. I checked the solenoid, it works fine and the bar from the ice dispense is correctly positioned within the acutator. In the crush mode the motor doesn't even hum, so it's not jammed or anything. Any suggestions?
