.ct 2070 display not clear

Hi, we have the lct 2070 akai monitor. I have hooked it to the computer and its working but, the fonts are not clear. I have worked with contrast and brightness etc. on the monitors menu but cant seem to get the fonts clear. thanks

Are all the fonts unclear?

Even when you open a document such as word and notepad?

If the answer is yes, it might be that you've got a problem with your windows setting. maybe you should try adjusting as follows:

>click on properties on your desktop
>click on the appearance tab
>click on effects button
>check the box "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"
>click on ClearType
