Something must be jammed so a trip to a Technician will resolve that. This is one of the reason I never buy changers of any kind because over the years I have had to fix so many cartridge, platter and other changers that are all designed poorly enough to make the 90 day period but not last too much longer. The Sony ES models are the best but they were big money back then- I have a broken one in my shop now.
disconnecting power. Connect back and then turn the DVD on by using the
button in the player (not the remote) while at the same time you keep
pressing repeatedly the eject button on the player. You will need to
keep pressing eject until the unit start loading the disk.
that does not work, then the DVD must be disassembled undoing the screws
holding the top cover in the chassis.Once disassembled there is usually
a disk stuck inside the drive or a mechanical issue. The disk tray
motor rarely fails.
Do not disassemble the player unless you have repair experience. Before proceeding check warranty status.Call Kenwood if you want to book a repair
THe problem turned out to be mechanical! Everytime I turned it on and off I could tell the mechanical slide of the drawer mechanism would try to slide but only moved just a little bit. So I tried to help it gently with a small screwdriver but wouldn't move any further to forward. So I gently moved it backward, it moved backward about an inch and a quarter to an inch and half. As it had apparently been stuck. The machine two years old. As I dont do this on a regular basis I didn't have any spray lube but am going to purchase some.

hello i have had the same problem with my 5 cd changer,i way i solved this was to turn the player top slide down then do this care fully ,shake it gently and see if a cd came out of it, groove sit in the player.if you hear a rattle than there is a stray cd in the device. you have got to shake the cd to the front of the cd dawer to take it out with a thin ruler or a butter knife but be care ful with the knife preess on the open button wale trying to slide the butter knife between the stuck cd and the inside of the cd sit cation be care.
hi i heared about you cd changer problem. i have a same hi-fi system an i have the same problem. it seems it appears when you hit.move or turn upside down the cd changer. you can solve it by unscrewing the top of the hi-fi with a regullar screw there should be 5 screws on the back and 4 on the sideways after this take the top off by pulling it upwards then you should plug in the hi-fi at the outlet and try to change the cd if it doesn't work try seeing if any of the cd is stuck in there if it is try to push it with your fingers but watch your fingers and do not touch any metallic part if in doesnt work like this eithertray looking if the cd-reader is stuck in any way......try to free it with your fingers but watch your fingers too if it doesnt work try to contact me at :firstname.lastname@example.org il help you with any sound-sistem problem :D ;)
