Yeah but you may have the progam to do the burning select as multyburner or may be that is set to do the image burning and the fisical burner so before to select burn you have to set the burner program to to burn on the fisical device by selecting the drive letter like if your hard drive is set as C:/ and the recovery is set as D:/ and your burner is set as E:/ so select the E:/ letter and set that as the default burner rate me fixya

I have an Acer Extensa 4620Z and I am trying to burn a cd from itunes and am having much difficulty doing so. When I click to burn, it begins to start for about 1 second and then stops with the message:...

The problem with iTunes is that it uses its own/modifies the disc drive driver. What you can try is uninstall iTunes and performing what is called the Upper/Lower Filter Fix. This involves hitting "Start" and then selecting "Run" from the start menu. If that isn't in the Start menu, you can hold the Windows Key and hit 'R'. When the Run dialog box opens, type "regedit" in the box and click "OK" or "Run". This will open the Registry Editor window. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, then CurrentControlSet, then Control, then Class. This should reveal a bunch of items with seemingly random characters in their name. Select the top most and arrow down until the item at the top in the right-side column says DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Below that, you should see two potential keys, LowerFilters and UpperFilters. Right-click on these and select Delete. Then, restart, and reinstall iTunes. It should correct the issue.

Hello sir my dvd ram is not writing properly. after writing 5-6% of disc it stopped autometically. and my disc distroyed.

make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in or
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device
click start control panel administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you will have options to update driver, roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall
you might uninstall your burning software restart your computer then reinstall the burning software
or scroll to the bottom taskbar/toolbar right click select taskmanager applications also, processes you can see what's running during a burn if youre willing to waste a disc
please do one thing at a time then check to see if it has resolved the problem
you might have bad batch of rw discs
or you might uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall your burning software if you have a disc for it

MY INSPIRON 1525 WILL NOT BURN DVD

Double check the brand name of your Combo/DVD drive. Try to check the specification of that brand and model of your optical drive.

Actually there are such things that your Combo/DVD drive could not burn. However DVD drives has an option to burn with DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W.

In this case if your optical drive able to burn either of the two different types of disc (which is DVD-+R/W), try another brand of DVD disc like Memorex, TDK and Sony or some other brand which is/are not generic.

Or in one case there would be a big possibility due to the Burning Software that you are using that changes the settings in the registry for your optical drive, have to follow these steps carefully.

1. Click on START then go to RUN and type regedit then click OK.

2. Under "Registry Editor" screen have to select "HKEY LOCAL MACHINE" by clicking the "+" sign.

3. Under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE select "System >> CurrentControlSet >> Class and select the first {4D...} then highlight the selection.

4. After highlighting the selection of the first {4D....} select or highlight on the Lowerfilters and Upperfilters in the right pane window and have to those two (2) filters then have to exit out on the Registry Editor.

5. Restart the laptop and try to burn a blank disc that is not being used previously.

Hope these things help you to determine. Thank you.

Cd/dvd burner won't burn 50% of the time

Have found this problem myself, and found this solution.
Some burners are fussy and won't burn properly on some brands or cheap discs. Suggest to try different brands until you find one that doesn't give you any trouble.

I want to move my itunes off my computer on to a disc ... I bought maxell CD-R music discs but I'm not able to burn the disc. The itune program keeps saying it can't read the disc

Couple of things.
First, turn the disk over and try it. It can only burn data on the data side.
Next, are you sure you have a CD burner in the computer? The way to check it go to computer propreties, device manager, and look for the CD Drive. Make sure it says R/W
Third, you might have a bad disk, try a different one.

What are you using for a burner program?
