Don't go too close to the object, since the lense works similar to the eye. EX if you put something mm. away from the eye it appears blurry and hard to see.
You need a certain distance and then use the zoom untill you have the desired image.
In SCN there is a special option for close up pics.

Pls. rate me good if any of these tricks have been useful for you.
Good luck

I used the above solution and it worked. I did not zoom in too much, as the more zoom I used the photo became slightly fuzzier. I used the Program/micro focus.

If you are like me and want to fill a picture with a flower, you'll have to go back and edit down the photo after.

I cannot get a clear pic...FOCUS on a ring. Have Pentax optio 60 camera and the top setting is on "S".

Switch to macro mode. Press cursor-up (marked with a flower) then select Macro (the flower icon). This mode is used for close-up photography. For full details, see "Setting Focus" on page 28 of this manual.

EASYSHARE Z1485 IS Digital Camera has red LCD screen

Sound like a malfunctioning CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor. Rare, but possible problem with your LCD screenviewer... in both cases (LCD or CCD) this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check this link for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD and next contact your Kodak service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

How to disassemble a digital camera?

Woody...why do you want to disassemble your camera? This is not recommended unless you have experience working with small parts, have the proper tools, and don't care if it doesn't work after you put it back together. There are videos on YouTube showing various repairs requiring disassembly of a camera you can watch and help you decide wether you want to attempt it yourself.

Friends, I have a Canon SX20IS and I allways have problem shooting small objects from small distances (10 to 15 inch). Everytime i try to apply some zoom to get the details of surfaces, for example,...

You're too close for the focusing range of the lens. Try switching to the macro or super-macro mode, which will let you focus to less than 4 inches.

For full details, please refer to the "Shooting Close-ups" section of the user guide (page 72 in my copy). If you need a user guide you can download one at

Do i need anything special at night table top telescope i can not see anything

All telescopes have very small fields of view-- it must be pointed directly at the object in the sky or you will not see anything. Simply put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser-- then during the day time practice focusing on a distant object like a building or telephone pole.

The moon should be your first target at night.

How do i take the best wedding pictures with ditigal camera

Pictures must be properly framed before you click.
See that you are setting your object against light.
See that you are not too far or too close to the object.
Landscape and Portrait should be properly framed.
A single person half pose will look good in Portrait.
Full group picture of 4 or 5 people looks good in Portrait frame.
Large group fits best in landscape.
Be quick in making choice of poses.
Before the crowd starts pouring in, see that you have finished clicking close ups of bride groom.

Hi - You can download the manual by clicking the link underlined in blue below:

Select the macro mode or even super macro for really small objects. Note that the flash will not work in super macro mode. In both modes it is best to use a tripod or support for the camera to avoid camera shake.

Please take a moment to rate this solution & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
