Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 500F Flatbed Scanner
Will not scan message comes up:
Calibration cannot be performed. Pull out the film and place the Film Adapter Unit at Frame 1.
This does not make any sense to me
Hrm, i found out how to solve the issue. remove the film and do a calibration for the frame, now the scanner starts to calibrate, after a 30sec the program told me to put the film in and scan.

Same problem too, when plugged into USB, the scanner mechanices attempts to go through the motions but it just loops back after going a few cm's along the rail. I have scanned film once, ever since then the scanner just wont work.

If this issue occurs even when you're attempting to scan film, then most likely it will be a service issue. You could try the scanner on another computer to confirm.
