Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDM01TJ - Multiple Color Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Lights are on, but wont start

Kitchenaid KUDM01TJ, there is power to the machine. I can push the selector buttons and sometimes the indicator light comes on for the selection and sometimes it doesn't, but the start button will not start a cycle. The drain button always works. I replaced the main control board, and the same problem still happens. It sure seemed like a main control board kind of issue, could the new part be defective (seems unlikely that a defective new control board would have the same signature of problems)

I have the same problem...all lights work and Drain sounds like it wants to run, but nothing happens. Any other function lights, but no action. Water standing in bottom of unit. Cleaned the disposal line well, still no drain, no action.

Won't start!

toggle between 'heated dry' and " normal ' until all light illuminate Then press cancel. now ensure door closes properly without striking cabinets slightly. The neutral for most components run through the door switch and jarring actiong causes a fault to be stored in computer. the toggle dance clears the fault code otherwise it will "fault code "again in three operations. hope this helps.

thermal fuse attached to control board. it is white in color. You should have power at both terminals on this part.

LOC code flashing on washing machine

Pressing the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds worked. For me it happened this way: on the first attempt, with the indicator lights already "timed-out" and off, pressing and holding the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds caused the lights to come back on and flash the "LOC" code again. But holding the options and select buttons together for 5-10 seconds a second time caused the indicator lights to stop flashing, and allowed me to start the cycle.

Won't start after repair

SUGGEST YOU PULL OUT PLUG THEN OPEN DOOR UNSCREW TOP SECTION OF PANEL TO GAIN ACCESS TO DOOR LIMIT. CAREFULLY BRIDGE BOTH WIRES OUT AND ALSO WITH WATER SWITCHED OFF, SWITCH POWER BACK ON. IF NOTHING STILL, CHECK POWER TO DOOR LIMIT. IF THERE IS POWER, EITHER THERE IS A LOOSE WIRING CONNECTION ON THE BOARD OR IT HAS AGAIN GONE FAULTY.
