Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Nokia N95 All of a sudden I have these 2 little lines on the bottom right of my LCD display...for the next 12 hours they have expanded and some parts of the lines are vanishing. I treat this thing like a baby and have a slicone case as well as a hard carrying case. Software is up to date, all functions work fine but it is annoying. Have the phone for about 4 weeks now. I tried to remove the battery as well a few times. Any advice? I live in NYC and I know there is a Nokia near you think they will they service this? Can I fix myself....Help!

Changing the time on a Norstar system must be done using a display phone. Using a M7310 or T7316 the right 2 buttons under the display are "NEXT" and "SHOW" respectively.

1.- To enter programming mode press "FEATURE" and "* * 2 6 6 3 4 4"
2.- Enter password (default = 266344) - display should read "Terminals & Sets"
3.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) 5 times - display should read "Time and Date"
4.- Press "SHOW" (top right arrow)- display should read "Hour:___"
5.- Press softkey "CHANGE"
6.- Enter hour - display should read "AM OK or Change"
7.- Select AM or PM
8.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) - display should read "Minutes:___"
9.- Press softkey "CHANGE"

2 or 3 horizontal translucent lines in my nokia N95 8Gb display

There is simply no use of resetting the phone. The problem is with your phone's display! Do you remember dropping it down..?! this might be the result of that... Anyway.. There is nothing which we can do other than visiting the nearest Nokia Care center. The service personnel will surely help out.

Rate me please.. Thnx - billa

2 or 3 horizontal lines in my nokia N95 8Gb display

90% chance LCD problem...eventually those lines fill up the screen. Soln: Change the LCD.

10% chance of moisture problem. Dry it out by-
1.take the battery off
2. put it in a bowl of uncooked rice.
3. make sure the phone is covered by it, and let it stay for 5-10 hours.

Rice should absorb the moisture and could solve the problem. If it doesn't soln:1 is the only way out.

Nokia n95 fault

I was just reading about a similar problem the other day. Make sure you don't have any of the buttons locked down in the pressed position.

Specifically, they were talking about the gallery review button, next to the camera shutter button on the right side of the phone, the one with the little PLAY arrow and the checkerboard pattern on it.

N95 Virus?

Change of a virus on your n95 is really small. I think you have just a bad screen. If warranty is still valid, i think you should try to get a new one. Otherwise, you should get a new screen and a some information on how to replace the screen.
