Yes, what a story! Check places like vancebaldwin and click on electronic components and find Make and model. Or you can try MCM electronics.

Mitsubishi hdtv 1080 ws-a65 screen broke need replacement

there are 2 functionality screens and 1 screen protector (on some)
front screen = lenticular
back screen = fresnel
very front screen = screen protector (you can replace w plexiglass)

the fresnel and lenticular are very specific.. contact your local repair center for a new one. you can cut them from old screens but have to do just right (fresnel is a lens type - pic will be distorted if off center)

maybe find a old junker tv to pull screens from because new ones are about $100 a piece

Mitsubishi screen replacing

You must remove the front bezel and frame holder to replace the screen. You will usually see the screws holding the from from the rear of the unit. Once you get the frame off, take note of the way the old screen is installed. There is usually a label on one side near the bottom; the new screens must be installed with the label in the same location. The lenticular goes on the outside (facing the viewer) and the fresnel goes on the inside facing the mirror. You will be able to recognize the fresnel, it has a series of concentric circles that are raised on the sirface of the plastic Be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!

Replacing a screen on the mitusbishi

Hi NJ,

First, which screen do you need -
The lenticular screen is dark in color is rough and has ridges.
There is a fresnel screen behind it.
IF you have a screen protector that is smooth, clear and see through, it would be the very first screen you can see and feel.

If your TV is the square shaped, 4:3 ratio TV, Mitsubishi has probably stopped production on replacement lenticular screens. HOWEVER, we have a couple of those screens still in stock.

After you take the frame off, lay it on a table or put a sheet down on the floor before you lay the frame down. You may need to take the frame apart to get the lenticular screen out.

Hope that helps,

I need to replace a broken screen on my sony kf 50we610

Hi drdoolittle,

Some screens have labels, so place them so the labels are upright and tward the front of the TV.

The outside screen is the lenticular screen. The black vertical lined side is outside. The fresnel screen has very fine circular lines in it. You can find them by feeling them. This goes against the lenticular back side of the screen. the fesnel has a flat side that is the back. It will be tward the mirror. If the mirror has two shiny sides, then it should be placed with the mirror side out. You can tell this by placing your finger tip on the mirror. If the finger nail meets a fingernail, then this is the mirrored side. Install this side tward the front.

Try to keep dust from between the screens. Check by looking through the screens before you put the in the frame. Then check them again after you put them in the frame.

Wear latex gloves to keep finger prints away.

Clean back of screen assembly and install the screen on the TV.

You can now watch the TV.

Cheers, CrazyLee
