I had the same issues as mentioned installing TomTom Navigator version 7 onto a HP IPAQ 2415 running Windows Mobile 5. As soon as TomTom was installed the sound stopped working.

I did a Hard Reset to restore the IPAQ which got the sound back. I then downloaded the trial version of WinCE Cab Manager http://www.ocpsoftware.com/products.php?nm=cecabmgr and used this to remove the files Btcoreif.dll and Btsdkce30.dll from the TomTom installation CAB. I saved the cab and then ran this again and it installed perfectly and I still had sound. Hope this offers a solution for anyone still having a problem.

Guest, do you have mental retardation or a learning disorder? The posters have already stated that they cannot delete the file due to it being in use.
Perhaps you should pay more attention to what has been said

You can rename the file to something like: Btcoreif.old instead of attempting to delete it, this should avoid the 'file is in use message'. Now restart your device.

Goto window directory, delete Btcoreif.dll and Btsdkce30.dll files

I had the same problem with my new 2490b and removed tt6 and then did a hard reset which then got my sound back. I am trying to get a copy of BTcoreif.dll and btsdkce30.dll so that can then reinstall tt6 as it appears that tt6 overwrites/deletes these two files and they need to be reinstalled in the windows directory after tt6 is installed, anyone got this files as have tried to download from various sites but without success. my address is confused@as-ltd.com - thanks in anticipation

I just installed my copy of music creator 4 onto my 64-bit windows 7 computer, but I cannot get the audio to play although I've set up speakers which work fine for all other programs.

This link should be helpful they have an update for the audio. It's a patch that corrected the no sound.

Problem with map. You can't use this map on this device TOMTOM

It sounds like you are trying to use cracked maps and have not patched the .dll file for your TomTom in TomTom Home. Use yDGpatch to patch the .dlls in TomTom Home

HP iPAQ 2490B can not be hard reset

remember that you must hold down the two buttoms at the same time then push in the reset for 2 sec (holding it in). release the 2 buttoms then remove the stylus for the reset port. after about 4 sec press & release the reset buttom again, sytem will pwr up. If this doesn't resolve the issue then try the clean reset but bear in mind u will loss any thing u installed on the ipaq as system go to default setting and u will be required to align the screen. good luck
