  • Hi I'm using the software that came with the cable PLextor PX-AV200U which is Digital converter and Videoworks the software starts but the screen shows no picture and no sound and records nothing. I've got the vidoe player pluged in correctly and the vidoe is playing. I'm running Windows EP home addition fully upto date with 2 terbits of memory and 2gb of ram

  • Its not for photos, its not Windows media player, its using the Plextor PX-AV200U cable that converts Vidoe to DVD via the computer. The software its called Digital Converter and Videowarks and it came with the cable the PX-AV200U, cable for the job of coverting the Videos to DVD I'm conecting my Video player as it says and then running the software as it says but no picture and nothing is being recorder to my DVD in the computer via my DVD recorder. I hope this is enough info to enable you to help me

    Thank you

I got exactly the same problem as megan123. No picture (just black) on the PC even though connected exactly as stated in manual for PX-AV200U and bundled software, i.e.Presto Digital Converter. I'm using an adapter stick from video composite (red-white-yellow) to scart on the VCR (VHS PAL system) as VCR only have scart I/O ports. Digital Converter states that everything is ready (convert mode) and it will record, but it only records the black picture.

    Any solutions?

please be more specific, what program are you using to record...also the standard Record function on Windows doesn't record picture, it only records sound if you have a microphone

Are you using Windows media player..because there some programs needs updated video codecs to make the certain movie work. If your'e media player is newer than your system, you need to update your video drivers to make your movie work.ok?

How to place in record mode, how to place in play back mode

You have a mode button when you open the hatch on the side, next to the LCD. Hit it once to cycle to audio, again to get Camera, and a third time to record video. It will give you a picture to indicate which mode your in.

I recorded movie accidently in time lapse mode which is playing it in fast forward mode. I need to convert it back to normal mode. Is there a way to do this? I am using Cannon SD1100

Sorry, it can't be done. The time-lapse mode records fewer images than normal video. Imagine taking one picture every hour out your window. From this collection of pictures you can't see anything that went on between the pictures. It's the same thing here.
