Hi,
I own a TX also and have not had this problem. The only Normal 0 thing I can think of to do is for you to go to the free palm chat service they offer. I have used this and it worked good for me. Here is a link to the free chat service. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Palm Chat. From there click on the link that says Chat Now and follow the online prompts. Best wishes...I hope this will help you.
Now for the link.....

Palm TX handheld

First you need to reset the TX:
hold the reset button on the back of the unit, then turn the power on. Hold the power button while releasing the reset button. The TX will power up to the screen where it will ask you if you want to reset it to factory default.
Afterwards go to this link,

http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=1568,E=0000000000263321976,K=3877,Sxi=4,case=obj(32859)

and download the Palm Desktop/Sync software and install it onto your PC. After installing the the Palm Destop software, connect the sync cable to the PC via the USB, then connect the cable to the TX and push the sync button.

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Palm TX Touchscreen does not work

Search youtube for Palm TX Digitizer Replacement and Palm TX Take Apart Direction. If you think you can do it, or know someone who can, you can order a replacement digitizer on ebay for from somewhere like www.pdaparts.com.

Before ordering the part, you may want to start by opening the palm and cleaning the connecting ribbon cable contacts to make sure that a loose cable or oxidation has not caused your problem.

My Palm TX device is not initializing. it says "palm powered" then a loading bar starts at the bottom of the screen, then it turns off...and it repeats the same thing over and over again.

Have you tried a hard reset? In case you need to know how...Hold Power button on Top of Palm down, then press reset button, then release reset button and continue to hold power button down until second Palm logo comes on screen and progress bar at the bottom of screen completes. If you release the power button and it asks which language you want to use you have done this correctly.

Cannot sync palm tx to laptop computer

Reinstall the Palm Desktop from this link:
http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=1568,E=0000000000263321976,K=3877,Sxi=4,case=obj(32859)

PS: you may need to uninstall the Palm Softwrae on the computer, before you download and reinstall it.

Perform a hard reset. Hold the power down and push in the reset button on the back of the TX. Let go of the power after the screen comes up .Afterwards, connect the sync cable and let the OS setup the TX. Once that is done, hit the sync button.

Palm Pilot tx will not switch off

Could be a malfunction with the power button.  Go to settings and make sure the sleep timer is set.  That will save your battery life.

Palm TX not turn on

It may be a faulty charger. You may have checked this already, but here is the link to the palm website http://us.store.gc.palm.com/?cp=TX&i=1&t1=Chargers%2C+Cables+%26+Cradles&u1=cp&u2=t1
I have a palm TX as well I just hope its a bad charger and not the TX. Sometimes I my TX dosnt charge from the usb sync cable.
