Question about Optoma MovieTime DV10 Multimedia Projector

White Vertical Stripe down screen

When I use my projector, I get a white stripe down the entire length of the screen. It ised to be intermittent, but now it is always there. I can't find a shopt to look at it in Richmond VA.

How about sending it back to the company? Since you are in the US (unlike me), they should be able to fix it.

In the start up menu vertical white stripe lines appear

there is a connection behind the lens assembly that plugs into the main board, clean both ends with an approved cleaner and reseat the connection. this should hopefully fix. if not it is the main board or the dmd board on the lens assy.

LCD projector 101, your blue device is dying inside of projector. Consider purchasing a dlp based product, they do not suffer from color decay.

Really you are blessed , most lcds last about 3-4000 hours or 4 lamp changes. good luck

Your lamp is going out. You can buy a replacement lamp for about $300. Just do a search for the specific model + lamp & buy one. It is very easy to replace. Make sure you reset the lamp timer on the menu after replacement.

Thin vertical line appears on projector

I have found that vertical lines that suddenly appear from projectors are due to poorly connected cables. Sut off your projector and wait for the fan to go off. Then unplug the connectors from the computer to the projector and secure them again, making sure to go all the way. Hope this helps.

This could be a costly exercice as this is a common Projector Mainboard failure.

You can either replace the board or have it repaired.

If connected to the PC, try lowering the resolution. The maximum resolution supported by this model is SVGA compressed (800 x 600). At higher resolutions, I have seen a vertical stripe similar to what you described
