Please select your windows system. Click on global for download. Upgrade any missing drivers for the mainboard. The files needs to be unziped before you install it.
The No service basically means there is no line signal coming into teh modem board check your cable connections and rest line by plugging a phone into teh same socket check the cable is plugged into the line socket on teh back of the fax and not the phone socket
It asn't my fax, I as doing it for a freind. I own mainly HP products and I gotta tell you the online help from HP is very good, after tying to find out just how to fax a peice of paper from sharp I would never buy a sharp machine.Regards Paul.
Have you had an electric storm or power failure? A power surge can cause no dial tone also. It can be the main PCB in the machine or NCU PCB(board for phone cord).
Unplug the machine from the wall, put your finger on the menu key first, plug the machine while holding the menu key, the light will flash and display will say maintenance. Press number 82, if there is a DF error the main board will need to replaced.
The main board is the brain of the machine and is one of the most expensive parts of the unit. It is hard to distinguish if it is the modem or the main board on this unit that is causing the unit not to have a dial tone. It may be better to take it to a service center.
I just have one thought. You may have accidentaly turned off the auto recieve function. This is normally a program function on the display panel. Make sure it is set for auto recieve. Thats all I can think of.
