Question about Televison & Video
We have a mitsubishi digital tv model wd-52631.
my wife turned on the tv within 10 minutes a message on the screen showed the tv was shutting down.
now the amber system light on the front panel is on and the tv will not turn on.
Had the same issue, we even had a personal fan blowing air behind the tv and the message always comes up right when we turn on the set and the tv turns itself off after about 30 seconds. did some research and it turns out there is no air flow problem just a faulty temperature sensor inside the set. Mitzubishi knew about this since 2006 but didn't really aknowlege it until more recently, they admitted it was a problem with the sensor and are now extending everyone's warenty by 2 extra years so if you got it with a year warenty and you bought it less than 3 years ago, call mitzubishi's 800 number and tell them the temperature sensor needs to be replaced, they'll get you in touch with the nearest service center and a service man will come out and replace the sensor at no charge for parts or labor. hope this helps

The air flow is being blocked. Be sure that the sides of the set are not restricting air flow to the tv. If the unite is in a tight entertainment center it cannot get air flow.
