1..Check your VGA to monitor cable or change it with a new one.
2..Check to see if there are any jumpers (switches) on the card and are in correct position
(see the card's manual).
3..Connect another monitor to your PC.
4..Take out the VGA card check if there are any signs of wear in the VGA monitor connector or to the PCI express to Motherboard connector, put it back again, insure it is placed correctly.
try these following steps: 1: update your graphics driver to one of the most recent one: 2: Lower down the hardware acceleration to minimum. 3: If you can see things in the pause menu of the game please disable all the extra graphics effect ( like anty aliasing, etc )
Not an unusual situation. Try older drivers for the card. You have a couple of options. 1) If you're running a later Windows version, you can revert to earlier drivers with a System Restore. There should be a Help and Support option under your start menu, use that to revert to a time prior to when you updated your drivers. 2) If the last set of drivers you've installed worked, under Windows Explorer, you should have a C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\ folder. Look for a setup.exe file under the fileset before the latest set of drivers, and run that. It should revert you to the driver version that last worked for you. 3) If all else fails, browse to www.nvidia.com, select your region, and from the Download Drivers dropdown, select 'Beta and Archived Drivers'. Select the appropriate settings for your OS and video card, and click 'Search'. You'll find older drivers for your system there. Keep installing older driver versions and test games until you find a driver that works for you.
Suggest you test your geforce 9500 GT in another system or try another PCI-Express video card. Try cleaning the contacts of your 9500 GT with alcohol, allow it to dry. Do not touch the contacts with your fingers after cleaning. If your onboard graphics functions correctly than it may be the 9500 that has a problem.
