Question about Philips SPC 900NC Webcam
Using the philips spc900nc webcam and paperport 11 doesn't work - the conflict stops the paperport function identifying any scanners - so no scanning is possible - via paperport anyway.
If you uninstall the SPC900nc software all is well. Suggested solution from Nuance - to move the philips drivers away from the twain_32 folder doesn't work. Have also tried stopping philips processes opening up at start up via MSCONFIG eg phibtn.exe & tray900.exe.
My current workaround is impractical at it involves uninstalling the Philips stuff when I want to scan - a pain. ANy suggestion very mauch appreciated. thank you.
That was a lousy suggestion that Nuance gave you. The operating system doesn't care where on the hard drive the information is or how close to another folder one specific bit ( bytes ) is. If it were me I would let them know that too
Just checked with Phillips and there 4 different models of your webcam all ending with a /xx after the ' spc900nc '...
check on http://www.support.philips.com/support/html/index_gb_en.html#../~scripts/xsltransformsearch.asp?url=http://www.sms.philips.com/catalogue/list?sid=SMS||type=CONSUMER||locale=gb_en||mode=prod_text||item=spc900nc||page=1||show=50&xsl=search_result.xsl to get latest information or drivers concerning your webcam. They will also answer questions about support. You will have to type your webcam info into the box in the top middle of the screen.
