You can format iriver from your computer in FAT format and it will read Music file afterwards.

If you can access all the menu, then go to setting, advance , and format.
It should be ready to go.
If your player reboots over and over gain, then I would have to charge for my solution. I had the same problem but I was able to solve it after playing with it for hours. I'll charge 10 bucks. reply if you have to,

Transferring music from pc to mass storage device.

Hi,

You said that you checkd the properties of all the 150 tracks right.

150 tracks is 560 MB.

The error message you are getting informs that there is nothing wrong with the player or something.

This eror rfers that the source file cannot be located by the system to transfer or the source file is corrupted.

Try the other source file.

Try transferring the other newly downloaded file.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.

I just bought it today

Check the files that say "non-supported format" by right-clicking one and going to "properties". Click the "license," "digital rights mgmt," or "media usage rights" tab (wording varies by configuration). See if the license is expired or says, does not support transfer to device. Make sure your music svc sub is up-to-date. If so, convert them all to mp3 format - problem solved.

Another poster said that they got same error with 128 kbps bit rate.

I am trying to transfer music onto my Samsung T10 mp3, but the 'portable device' icon is not highlighted. I have used it before but have now put a new hard drive into my laptop and now when I have...

Hi,
first thing: check the device manager if the device ( your T10 ) is installed correctly. a yellow circle with exclamation sign means the driver its missing

second: if everything is fine ( you T10 ) is in the device manager and is marked as "working properly" then go to step 3

step 3: i don't know what icon you are talking about, but what about if you open "my computer" then look for removable devices" ?

step 4: nothing helps? go to step 5

step 5: go to step 1 .... no just joking ....

step 6: check the FAQ at the manufacturer website

It is either toast or the music is not compatible with the mp3 player...

make sure your music file isn't broken and it is either a .mp3 or .wma file.

Try to re-format it. on player go to settings, then advanced then format. select format, say yes and it should reboot. if that doesn't work you need to upgrade the firmware. got to iriveramerica.com, support, ultra portabale support and download firmware updater software. Not a bad idea to upgrade firmware in either case. Your music will be lost when you format but you can simply re-load it from your music manager on your PC.
