Eclipse AVX 5000

i have the stereo put in my 04 jeep cherokee....but when i want to play a dvd it says something like "video portion of program has been disabled" and i even have my vehicle at a stop..Ive tried just using the acc part...tried driving ...but it always say that.....i dont understand....from what i have read on this website says it could be the wireing....but i need something better b/c i will try to do it myself.....PLUS i want to get it to play dvd's while i drive.....thx..........if possable could u also send ur answer to my email as well as this website...........codebluekk@yahoo.com

Apprenticewire a switch from the purple and white wire to ground the wire should say e-brake or something to that degree. turn on the radio so it says that message then flick the switch 1 or 2 times till i comes on
