Question about LG VX5300 Cellular Phone
Help i dropped my phone in my plate and every since it has the car kit on the screen i can't hear calls or my ringer it didn't really get that wet and seems to be dry any suggestions
SOURCE: car kit mode
Car kit mode is usually caused by debris in the phone's cable connector (at the bottom of the phone). The debris causes two or more contacts to be electrically connected to each other, causing the phone to think it's connected to a car kit. Remove the battery from the phone and clean the cable connector contacts with some rubbing alcohol and the corner of a towel. Also, try using an opened paperclip to scrape the contacts in the connector, this will remove any corrosion that may have built up.

SOURCE: LG VX5300 stuck "Car Kit"
My wife didn't have her phone in the shower and the Car Kit mode came up for no reason. As soon as I plugged the phone into the charger the Car Kit mode cleared and now we cn make and recieve calls again.

Take a tiny screw driver or something like it and with it short out pins in the connection port on the left. The phone should then turn off. I had to do this a number of times and finally got car kit to turn off. Hope this works for you it did for me!

SOURCE: LG VX8350 got wet
This just happened to me when my son dropped it in a glass of water this morning. You have to remove the battery and the 2 screws behind that plate and the 2 toward the bottom of the phone, then remove the small red plastic piece at the top back. There's another screw behind that. Then you can carefully pry the plate off. For the front plate you have to open the phone and remove ( I used a pin) the 2 little rubber nubs at the bottom of the screen. Then remove those 2 screws. Then, starting at the top front, carefully pry the front plate off. The front plate didn't come off as easily as the back one for me, but I was eventually able to get it with a flathead screwdriver without anything getting damaged.
