Re: control panel blocked

Or another thing you can do is restart your computer and choose safe mode. Your will have a adminaster account and it is not password protected. Choose that account and remove you account password through the control panel. Hope this was useful for you

This is almost as bad a lost password, because of the limitations.

Lost Windows password:

  • Login as Administrator. Try with no password (load safe mode if you don't see Administrator). Press F8 during boot to access Safe Mode.
  • Login as other user (if other user is available) and manage users. Must be an administrator.
  • Reformat computer.
  • Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like GUI interface. There is a free boot CD called Hirens Hiren's BootCD. This one command prompt only.

Please tell me how to unblock our facebook site in office, our it person has blocked the site so want to view the site

If your IT person has blocked your access to Facebook you will not be able to un-block it unless you know the Administrator password. There is no way to "hack" the access without that password.

I have not used my laptop in about 2 years and i cant remember the password to get into my files. How can I access it or reboot the whole system back to factory settings?

When you start up the computer press 'ctrl+alt+delete' twice. Then in the password box that appears type 'administrator' in the username and hit enter. Then once you are in the admin account hit start then go to control panel --> USERS --> Your account. Then change password u will only lose ur msn or saved passwords.
Please rate this solution. Regards

I forgot the password and i can't rmember it and i want to take it off!

There is a hidden Administrator account.

Access the account by pressing F8 repeatedly upon bootup. Choose Safe Mode. Wait for Safe Mode to process. Log in as Administrator with no password. Go to Start-Control Panel - User Accounts. Choose your account. Remove the password.

Hope this helps.

How to remove the password of administrator in OS XP2

Login as 'Administrator', and then:
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Users
Change the password.

NOTE: Never connect a computer with a "blank" password for the 'Administrator' account to any computer network -- it will get "hacked".

My computer is asking for a user name and password. I had a problem with this computer and had to reboot it after correcting the I can't access pls

Assuming you have already tried leaving the password blank:

Turn the PC off.
Turn the PC on - start tapping F8 repeatedly.
Select safe mode and sign on as Administrator
Go to Control Panel/Users
Remove the password from the affected account.

Forgot my Administrator passward

You can reset the administrative password through Administrative Tools in Control Panel - you shouldn't lose your data, but make a backup before doing this!
