Having worked at a few schools, social websites are blocked for several legitimate and legal reasons. Not the least of which is preserving bandwidth for educational purposes.
If it is not okay with your school's IT director and the administration to access the myspace, then you will have to adapt to accessing it only when you are not at school. Get used to it. Many companies and businesses block social sites too.
