ASUS M2N VM DVI trouble

You must replace the processor cooler, the fan on it has aged and it's no longer doing its job properly. And use a good thermal paste.
BTW that software was designed to notify you of the temperatures and nothing more, reinstall it immediately.

Shutdown

Auto shutdowns can be any number of problems but since it seems to do it about the same time frame of turning it on then I would verify and make sure that the heatsink / cpu fan is installed correctly and thermal grease has been applied. Also run a memory check as failed memory could also result in a simillar problem. Another source of problems simillar to this would be the power supply.

Upgrade P5RD1-VM motherboard to the gaming PC

Your pc is not for gaming right now because you are using Intel Pentuim 4 Mother board and CPU. Amd Athlon is best for gaming. I have a AMD Athlon 4200+ X2 with 4gb Ram and Nvidia 6800 256mb OC. to upgrade your computer to a gaming pc. you will need to switch your motherboard and cpu for best performance on games. in order to do that, you might need a different case for your new motherboard. because the one you have might not be right for the AMD Athlon motherboard unless you have a custom made computer. other than that everything is set for you. if you have less than 1gb ram you might want to add more. because the games they are coming with right now is 1gb minimum or required.

i hope that answers your question.
Thank You
