Question about ASUS S-Presso S1-P111 Deluxe (SPRESSOS1P111DELUXE) Barebone

Front Panel display do not disply.

The front panel display show only a small vertical line. Is there anything can be done in tems of BIOS or all it is hardware issue.

    THE COMPUTER CAME ALL INTEGRATED WITH THE FRONT PANEL AND WORK PERFECTLY FOR 2 YEARS AND IT JST HAPPEN. NO MOVEMENT OR SPILL.

    Did the board in the case come with it or was it a board you yourself put in the case? Did you at any time drop or spill anything on the computer?

From your description is sounds like the display has died. I can suggest it may be possible to have it replaced or you replace it through Asus. Have you tried to chat with Asus through their on line chat service? http://livesupport.asus.com/
This can work out to be a fix. Luck....

    I'm loosing it! Asus warrents boards & barebones for three years. So here's their number. IL EST. Tech support 812-282-2787, you will not find this in your manual. They moved to IL in 2007. You talk with tech & they'll ask you to try this or that, than they'll want the serial number to check the warranty. The tech should give you a case number, don't hang up with them before you get one. They'll give you the number for the RMA dept. You can just ask to be transfered. Wait times vary. The RMA dept is in CA. So if your ET they are 3 hours behind you.

Westinghouse 47" has a black vertical line in the middle of screen


Anything from a bad connection on one of the boards (solder or plug) to a bad board (rare) to a problem inside the front display panel which is usually fatal if the issue from a cost point of view---getting any parts for a Westinghouse may also be hard as last I heard they were again out of business.

Sylvania hdtv model lc320sl1 will turn on but does not get picture.... sound works.... various colored lines and or scrambled picture appears at best


Let me start at the beginning---Likely a bad main board in your case but nothing is sure in this type of set.

Main board controls all information to the front screen and communicates to various boards---There really is almost never a simple "that part is bad solution" as any board, the power supply, the main, etc can cause issues.

It can even be a issue with the front screen unit--called a display panel.

You might consider doing some research on the set by Google of the model number with "parts" to get an idea what is available and what potential parts cost might be.

If a main board is bad it will average from one to two hundred just for the part----if issue is the panel you are done--part if even available is more than set cost when new.

Red vertical lines on right side of LED TV set


It is likely the main board that processes all signal to and from the display panel (entire front screen unit).

It is also possible it is the display panel itself which is fatal.

Hi,

I will give you a small step through which you would be able to know whether its a hardware or its a software issue.

You need to log in to the BIOS. Do not change anything in the BOIS just check whether you have that red line in the BIOS.
If you see the line while you are in the BIOS, that means its a hardware problem and you need to contact the manufacturer (In this case HP ). You should get a replacement if its under warranty.

If you do not see the red line in the BIOS than it is a software issue and you need to start with reinstalling the Display drivers.

Note : - Steps to go to BIOS. ( Dont change anything in BIOS )
Turn off the computer
As soon as you turn it on start tapping the key "F2". ( "Del" in some brands).
