Logitech messenger web cam

trying to get a logitech messenger web cam to work on my old windows 2000 pro machine but when i load the software it gives me an error that I need to run directx9. But when I try to find direct x9 to load it says it only runs on xp and up.

This is the one I used for my w2k.

I think you can either download the 8.1, and use this to update. Or it may work on its own. It's been a while.
