Re: blank printout

If you are able to drag out your users manual, most lazer printers have a self cleaning process for the head, which takes around 3-5 minutes to complete, after that try to run a test page to ensure the colors are working fine.

Failing that, unless the printer is brand new, and or unless it has been sitting ( unused - regardless of age ) the print heads can dry out leaving a blockage ... hence, no ink, hence blank page.

The only other suggestion after running a Print head clean, would be to replace or refill the ink cartridges.

My printer gives me the message: "Out-bin Full" all the color ink cartridges are empty, blk one is full I am using Staples all purpose printing paper What needs to be done?

"Out-bin full"normally means that the printer thinks the paper tray where the printouts go is full of prints. If you have printouts on the machine, remove them. If there are no printouts, then check where the paper comes out, to see if there is any small piece of paper jammed, or if the sensor is stuck. The sensor is normally a small piece of plastic on a hinge, which will be just where the paper exits the printer.

Is there a fix for error 6A80 for a Canon mx700 printer?

You can try a few things:
RESET the printer:
  1. On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second. (The display will go blank.)

Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.
  2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON/OFF> button again.
  3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.
Check for paper jammed in the paper output slot, the Rear Tray, or the Front Tray.
Remove the paper following the procedure below.
(1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the paper source or from the paper output slot, whichever is easier.

(A) When printing from the Rear Tray
(B) When printing from the Front Tray
bullet_s.gif If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the machine, open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and remove it.
After removing all paper, close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), turn the machine off, and turn it back on.
* Be careful not to touch the components inside the machine.
bullet_s.gif If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the machine off and turn it back on. The paper will be ejected automatically.
(2) Reload the paper in the machine, and press the OK button on the machine.
If you turned off the machine in step 1, all print jobs in queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.
i_note.gif Note

bullet_s.gif When reloading the paper in the machine, confirm that you are using the correct paper and are loading it into the machine correctly.
bullet_s.gif A5-sized paper are suited to print documents consisting mainly of text. We do not recommend using such paper to print documents with photos or graphics, since the printout may curl and cause paper exit jams.
If you cannot remove the paper or the paper tears inside the machine, or if the paper jam error continues after removing the paper, you should take the printer to a service shop since the printer will have to be disassembled to remove the torn paper.

My copier won't print.

Are you sure that your scanner bulb is working. You may hear the scanner moving but the bulb may be burned out which will cause you to get blank pages.

Recieving fax no printout, all other printing processes ok

When you say all other printing processes are ok, I am assuming you can make copies and print from the computer. If so...then are the blank faxes coming from several different fax machines or are they coming from one particular fax machine. If one particular fax machine, then the problem is probably on their end. I need to go backwards a second....when you receive a fax does the machine spit out a blank page or no paper is fed at just receives the fax? Is the machine programmed to just receive faxes to memory to be printed out later? It doesn't make sense for it to print or copy but not to print a fax. If problem persist try a different fax modem.

Blank paper

That is the most likely cause.
Also under the cartridges, there are some ports and pads that may have dried out. In that case unplug the machine, and remove the cartridges, trickle some alcohol slowly to dissolve the sticky ink in that area. Place some paper towels under the print head area as you trickle in the alcoholl and allow it to drip into those towels. Then allow some time to dry.
The cartridges and those port areas can dry out or become very tacky.

Misaligned Printing

if you do an internal test page ( there should be a button on the machine you push for this function, I'll give you the link for the manual in case you don't have it) does it come out crooked?

the alignment of cartridge is to make sure the colors are o.k. not for paper alignment.
if the internal test comes out ok then the problem is with the paper path, are the guides snug against the paper ?
if the internal test comes out crooked then the problem is with the scanner or board.

Printouts with shadow

Two things - Fuser or cartridge - stop print halfway in machine, if fault occurs before paper has gone threw the fuser then it is a faulty cartridge, if print is ok before fuser (the hot bit at rear) but gets doubled up after fuser then the hear roller in fuser are faulty change fuser....but 95 % of the time it is due to dodgy refill cartridge or worn cartridge (the rubber blade inside cartridge fails to apply enough pressure against drum to clean away old image  hence duplicating itself onto your nice clean paper! Try a known good cartridge if in doubt..
