Question about Canon PowerShot SD750 / IXUS 75 Digital Camera
My camera is fairly new, and I didn't have problems uploading via USB cable until yesterday. When I plug it into any of my USB ports on my laptop, the camera window doesn't pop up, and when I go into my device manager, I get the following error:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
I tried plugging my camera into my roommate's computer, and it's worked fine, so it's not the USB cable or the camera itself. I've also tried reinstalling all the canon untilities as well, and that hasn't worked. Anybody have any suggestions?
This works for Windows98
1. Uninstall the Canon camera software.
2. Search for "Canon" in the registry. Delete ALL references associated with Canon camera in the registry. Just uninstalling the software will not work. Do not delete any other references to Canon products (printers, etc).
3. Re-install the Canon camera software.
I've had to do this several times. Works every time.
