CCTV-DVR I have a CP and a "DVR" connected to a Linksys router. I have also set a Domain so I can access the system "CCTV-DVR" from anywhere. I have forwarded the ports for the DVR in the router I can access the remote agent from inside the network at home but form outside the network all I get is a blank page in the browser. If you have any ideas or help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Most DVRs do not allow you to view cameras remotely on a Mac. Since you did not tell us what DVR or what computer you are using, there are too many variables to discuss. Contact me directly if you need help.

If you are trying to access the DVR server from outside your network, you need to use port forward, in that way you will use your DVR client to connect to the router's public IP, the router will be forwarding the port the video system use to the computer, just configure the computer's IP in the router's port forwarding configuration.

I m using TOPICA 16 chennal DVR How can I access this DVR on my PC

Depends on which side of the router the DVR is on. If it's inside(meaning no access from the internet) then type in the address of the DVR on a web brouser to see the video. If you are trying for internet access then you need to assign a port in the dvr setup. Then you must forward that port in the router so it can be seen from the internet.

you will have to allow the devices in the router wirless or direct connectivity setup in the router it self. If the router does not have permission to connect the device they will not be allowed to connect.

What you can do is enable the DMZ on your router and type the DVR's internal IP address and see if it works. Are you sure it's the router and not the firewall ON the DVR?(applicable only to PC DVR)

I want 2 configure a DVR from remote place and not from the intranet. kindly help me out in solving the issue

To configure the DVR from a remote location you can do it one of two ways:
Create a vpn connection through your router if it supports it or an external units to the remote location. This will make the remote location appear to be local to the dvr.

You can also setup the dvr's internal IP and port on your router through port forwarding. This way certain network access or traffic will be passed directly to the dvr from outside your local network.

Connecting a dvmre to a wireless router

Everything sounds ok. Try to add more port in your port forwarding. Actually, even if you don't forward port 80, by default its already open because that is for internet access. Research more port that your dvmre is using. You may want to isolate the problem by connecting your dvmre directly to the modem and check if it works there. If not, maybe your ISP is blocking some port the your dvmre is using.

Cctv remote view/ adtran total access 900e

It's not likely that VZ gave you dynamic IP's, but it's possible. You should have been given more than one. If not, it's better to get more and a set of configuration instructions. In the last one I set up, we put a 5-port switch on the ethernet port coming off the Adtran, then fed 2 routers and a security system from the switch. Our gateway was one number lower than the bank of IP's we had, and we just gave each piece of equipment a static ip address and gateway to the gateway :-)
