Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Digital Camera

Panasonic DMC-LZ2 Camera

Please help me, I am having trouble getting my camera to work. The last time I used it, it worked fine, however, I did forget to turn it off (though it turned off automatically by itself) I installed new batteries in it but the screen remains black and I can't see anything on the monitor. I have had it for two years and never had a problem. I suspect that I may have messed up on some settings but really am stuck. Please advise.

Shutter not openining. ccd flex not plugged in correct or it is faulty. main pcb fault. first turn the camera on then check if the shutter opens. Then open the camera and see if the ccd flex is correctly plugged in.

Update firmware

There is no update for the DMC-LZ2 available If Panasonic has new firmware for any camera, it will contact all registered owners and tell where and how to get and install the update.
Be aware, you only can update a correct working camera. There is no way to update a camera that does not function for 100%

How do I get the date stamp to show up on the picture DMC Lz2

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Panasonic DMC--LZ2 gives me ''memory card error'' message if i put a SanDisk SDHC 4GB card in.

The DMC-LZ2 is specified to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards are physically compatible with SD cards, they will not work in SD devices. SD cards will work in SDHC devices, but that doesn't help you any here.

It's a hardware incompatibility. No firmware update can get around it.

Panasonic lumix dmc lz2

Is the image clear but just overexposed or is it distorted as well ? If it is the latter then you have a faulty CCD sensor outputting bad image and will get worse pretty quickly. Get a quote to have anew sensor put in but try to get it done free of charge . If you go this route the camera should go to Panasonic agent.
