Re: call of duty 4
I have heard that if your console is laying flat that it will scratch your discs. hasn't happened to me but maybe you should try standing it up to avoid further discs from being scratched. To fix your call of duty 4 disc you should buy whats called a game doctor if you haven't heard of it you put your disc in it and it re-buffers your dis like it was new. if that fails the only thing i can think of would be to buy a whole new game :/

Hello, ive had this problem too and when i played online certain maps wouldnt play, first thing i did was to take it to a local game store and they can try to fix the disk for around £5, for me this worked but if not i am sorry to tell you that the game will be very hard to fix as the more its played the worse it will get.
hope this helps
Good Luck, if you need more help just send me a message back
well your console laser burned the console, and even know it says laser burned there is no burning involved. anyway your laser scratched CoD4 and the laser got damaged in the process you will need a repair but if you have no warrenty then i would suggest getting a new DVD drive
"A temporary solution" If u got the new xbox experience and enough HDD space, install game to HDD and then play from HDD. You'll probably have to send back to Microsoft eventually. Though make sure its only COD4 thats giving trouble, buy some disc cleaner and see if that helps
does this only happen with CoD4? If so you may have a faulty disk. Goto your local blockbuster and rent CoD4 and see if it does the same thing. If it does, you need to RMA your ps3 877-253-SONY and request a RMA.
It might be a problem with the disc itself. Try conventional disc cleaners and repairs. If those don't work, replace the game. If it still doesn't work, then you might need to send the console back to get it repaired. If you're still under warranty.
i phoned microsoft about the problem, cuz i've been getting the same thing on other games too and at one point not even connecting on the dash, but when i test the connectivity everything is fine. the person who i spoke to at microsoft said "its a problem with x-box live, and they are working 24/7 to try to resolve this. it is a problem which started x-mas 07" looks like were all going to have to grin and bare it for a while because by the sounds of it they aint got a clue whats up with it.
I do believe its a problem with the disk. The disk may not be scratched or anything but it could possibly something internally wrong with it. I'd take the disk back and exchange it. Hope this helped! Have a great day!
Well, This happens alot, You could call the store you purchased it from to get a refund or a new disk, I think they should do this if you bought it from like sams club or walmart or somthing like that, It most likely is a Disk maulfuntcion
