Didnt the CD come with your flashdrive?
If not the manufacturers website should have the driver on there for your flashdrive.

My Hitachi Touro 4TB external hard drive get stuck every time I try to transfer large files. How do I fix that? The format is NTFS and the files are 4g and up.

External hard drives are popular portable storage devices because they allow you to back up files such as documents, music and videos, and transfer files from one computer to another. While external hard drives vary in storage capacity, they are ideal for storing large files such as videos and animations. Files of this nature consume volumes of hard drive and memory space and are best stored in external hard drives. Whether you are using Windows or Mac OSX, transfer large memory consuming files to your external hard drive quickly and safely. Connect your external hard drive to your computer using the Firewire or USB cable that came with your portable storage device. If its transferring to slow the usb lead might be at fault or you might need a usb 3 card which makes data transfers much faster USB 3 card will provide more power when needed to the device to gain maximum throughput and conserve power when the device is connected but is idling http://blog.premiumusb.com/2010/09/usb-2-0-vs-usb-3-0/ these can be purchased on Ebay cheap and easy to install http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PCI-e-PCI-Express-USB3-0-Card-new-NEC-720200AF1-chipset-/330608109325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf9c7670d for roughly $9 or $10free postage Power on your drive. Some external hard drives do not have a power button, because your computer powers them on automatically using the Firewire or USB cable. Click the Windows "Start" orb and click "Computer" or "My Computer" to launch Windows Explorer if you are using a Windows PC. You should see your external hard drive in the "Drives" section next to the "Local drive (C:)" drive. If you are using a Mac, you should see your external hard drive on the desktop. Double-click your external hard drive to open its hard disk window. If you have any content on your external hard drive, you should see it in this window. Drag files from your computer to your external hard disk's window. Because you are uploading large files, make sure their memory s do not exceed your drive's total memory. Your computer shows a status bar displaying the upload progress for each file you are transferring to your drive. The upload time varies depending on the of the file. Close the hard disk window when you finish uploading the files you want to store, and then click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the System Tray next to the clock, if you are using Windows. The hardware removal window launches. Click your external hard drive's icon in the hardware removal window, and then click "Stop." When prompted, disconnect your external hard drive from your computer. Drag your external hard drive's icon from the desktop to the trash bin on the dock if you are using a Mac. Disconnect your drive from your computer. If you right click in the bottom toolbar select applications to see whats running at the time when transferring the files might be a virus or malware if you see something running that should not be select end now also processes to see what ticking over in the background

Hope this helps b>

Need the driver

Hello Wally,

I am not sure about the compatibility issues regarding vista and your software. BUT, If you do have a USB then that means you can use a portable memory card reader. It is always easier to transfer files via USB (with card reader) than by connecting the camera and using a specific software.

Plus, portable memory card readers are very cheap and very useful!

I have purchased a new computer and want to install my rent-right. Please give me step by step instructions on what to do

To install RentRight and transfer you data onto a new computer?

Answer :
Follow this link to download and install RentRight v3 on your NEW computer: http://www.rent-right.com/support/UpdateVer3FirstTime.html

If you are not using the Internet, you will need to order a CD with the full version of RentRight to install into your new computer.

Follow this link to download and Update to the latest version of RentRight v3 on your OLD computer: http://www.rent-right.com/support/UpdateVer3.html
DO NOT change the installation directory folder. When asked if you want to write over the existing folder, reply, YES. Respond to the prompts to complete the installation.

When done, open RentRight on your old computer, go to File on the menu bar and choose BACK UP to back up your data, and save it to your Desktop.

TO BACKUP YOUR DATA:

Insert a portable storage device, such as a blank CD or USB memory stick, into your computer.

We recommend that you do not us a 3 1/2 floppy disk, because it is not reliable, and may not have a

large enough storage capacity to hold your backup.

In RentRight, click on File from your Menu bar
Select Backup

Click the Backup button

The Back Up window will open:

Use the "Save In" drop-down menu to navigate to the desired location, such as your Desktop

DO NOT BACK UP DIRECTLY TO YOUR PORTABLE STORAGE DEVICE
Click on the Save button
Copy the backup that you just created, rrbackv3.zip, from your saved location to the portable storage device you inserted into your computer.

Copy and Paste the Backup Database you just created, from your Desktop to a portable storage device,

such as a cd or flash drive.

Take the portable storage device containing your backup from your old computer to your new computer, and Copy and Paste the Backup Database from your portable storage device to your Desktop.

Open RentRight on your new computer, go to File, and RESTORE your data.

TO RESTORE YOUR DATA:
1. Locate your rrbackv3.zip file

2. Right-Click on your rrbackv3.zip

3. Select 'Extract All' from the drop-down menu

4. Follow the Extraction Wizard prompts. This will create a Folder with the name rrbackv3. In this folder will be a file called 'aptment.mdb'. You may not see the .mdb file extension if you do not have this preference set. This aptment.mdb file is your Backup Database, and is the one you want to restore in RentRight.

5. Start RentRight.
6. Select File from the Menu Bar.
7. Select Restore.
8. Cancel the "insert a disk into drive A" message, unless you are using a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk. If so, insert the disk.
9. Click on the drop-down arrow in the 'Files of type' field, and select 'All Files'

10. Click on the drop-down arrow in the 'Look in' field, navigate to the aptment.mdb you just extracted, and click on it.

11. Click the Restore button

KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU CANNOT BACKUP OR RESTORE DIRECTLY BETWEEN RENTRIGHT AND A PORTABLE STORAGE DEVICE.

You must backup your data to your desktop, and then copy that file from your desktop to your portable storage device, such as a disc or flash drive. The same applies for restoring from a portable storage device: you must copy that backup from your portable storage device to your desktop, and restore your data from the file copied on your desktop.

Now you need to move your license to the new computer.

You must first de-activate the license from the old computer. Go to Help/RentRight Sales on the old computer. Follow the prompts about moving from one computer to another. Next, choose the option to "Activate over the Phone". Contact us by phone at 800.964.8065 x2826, or email and provide us with the Entry Codes and Computer ID numbers for both the old and new computer. After deactivating the license on your old computer, we will give you a different activation code for the new computer.

I want to download music using my usb

Hi,you can transfer music to nokia 5800 from your computer(pc or mac). There are different ways of transferring music.if you have a PC, you can use PC Suite to transfer music files.the nice software that comes with the phone. If you have a Mac, you can use Nokia Multimedia Transfer (free download) and sync it with your iTunes.
how to put songs on nokia 5800-nokia pc suite
To transfer music as data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable. You also need to have a compatible memory card inserted in the device. View your nokia 5800 on a computer as a mass memory device. follows these steps: firstly, connect nokia 5800 with computer via USB data cable. then select Mass storage as the connection mode. A compatible memory card must be inserted in the device. then view the device from the computer file manager as a mass memory device. now you can fansfer the music files. after transferring songs, you can close the connection by remove the USB device safely from your computer.

Hope it helped.

I have an i mac and windows 7 laptop.......the laptop is brand new and i want to transfer all my music and movies from my mac......can this be done and if so how???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

> transfer from Mac to PC ... how ?

Several ways:

* use Ethernet cables to connect the network-port on each computer to a "router" (one of those boxes that "splits" your Internet signal, and might provide "wireless" access inside your home), and then enable "file-sharing" on both computers.
Then, the computers can "talk" to each other, via the router.

* write all the files to an external storage device, e.g., USB memory-stick or Western Digital Passport device. Move the device to the other computer, and copy from the device onto the computer.

* "burn" all the files to CD-recordable or DVD-recordable disks.
Move the disks to the new computer.

Cannot transfer movies from camera to my computer. have new computer

Check whether the Camera has any settings that has to be selected in order to connect it to the Computer.

If the Computer is not recognizing the Camera/Camcorder, check whether the USB Driver is installed in the Computer or not. Also, the Computer will not recognize the Camera/Camcorder if the USB Driver is corrupted. In this case you may un-install and install the USB Driver is the Computer.

After the Computer recognizes as Removable device, you can double-click on it to view the video files stored in the Memory of the Camera. Then, you can copy and paste the video files to the desired location on the Hard drive of the Computer.

If un-installing and installing the USB Driver does not work then you may transfer the files using Memory Card Reader.
If the Computer has the Memory Stick slot, then you can transfer the video files without using the Card Reader.

I bought an mp4 player branded GPX model ML648S and it just stopped letting me transfer music onto it with any microsoft. i need help, ive tried everything!

I suggest taking a small screwdriver or tip of a pen and holding down the RESET button on the back of the device. This should return the device to it's factory settings. Like getting a brand new MP3 player. Also make sure your memory is not full. You can delete files my opening up My Computer, then GPX device, then Portable Memory, Then Music and then delete songs you no longer wish to hear.

Follow this steps to transfer music on PSP:

  1. Insert a Memory Stick into the Memory Stick slot in the left side of the PSP. Depending on how much music you want it to hold, you may need to get a larger one than the stick that came with your system.
  2. Turn on the PSP.
  3. Plug a USB cable into the back of the PSP and into your PC or Mac. The USB cable needs to have a Mini-B connector on one end (this plugs into the PSP), and a standard USB connector on the other (this plugs into the computer).
  4. Scroll to the "Settings" icon on the home menu of your PSP.
  5. Find the "USB Connection" icon in the "Settings" menu. Press the X button. Your PSP will display the words "USB Mode" and your PC or Mac will recognize it as a USB storage device.
  6. Create a folder called "PSP" on the PSP Memory Stick (if there isn't one already) -- it shows up as "Portable Storage Device" or something similar -- (you can use Windows Explorer on a PC, or Finder on a Mac).
  7. Create a folder called "MUSIC" inside the "PSP" folder.
  8. Drag and drop image files into the "MUSIC" folder just as you would save files in another folder on your computer.
  9. Disconnect your PSP by first clicking on "Safely Remove Hardware" on the bottom menu bar of a PC, or by "ejecting" the drive on the Mac (drag the icon into the trash). Then unplug the USB cable and press the circle button to return to the home menu.
Hope that helps........
