How do I find wps button on Netgear WNR834B

The Netgear WNR834B does not support WiFi Protected Setup (WPS).

You can follow the documentation in the manual to setup WPA-PSK (Pre-Shared Key) and use the key to add devices to your wireless network.

Asus 4g will not connect with netgear router using WPA-PSK Protected access Pre-shared Key

Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the default admin password and configure the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Hi, when i try to connect through ma mobile wireless, it gives me a note to type a pre-shared key,,,i don know wt is it, and how to get!!!? would u help me plz

The pre-shared key is for data encryption over wireless. It is set on the router/access point by the Admin/owner. If that's not you, you'll need to ask somebody for it.

Following steps will help you out in retrieving the password for the wireless connectivity:-

a)Use an ethernet cable to connect a computer to any one of the four LAN ports of the NETGEAR router.
b)In a web browser, enter the router's IP address - either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 by default.
c)When prompted for a Username and Password, enter the default username and password (admin; password) unless you have already changed it.
d)Select Wireless Settings from the Setup menu in the left-hand navigation bar.
e)ssid:-any name , channel:-11 , mode:-g and b
f)Under Security Options, select WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) or WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key).
For WEP:-
authentication type should be automatic and encryption strength should be 64-bit.
passphrase:-leave that blank and only select key1 from the list of four keys and in the key1 box type your telephone no. without the numeral 0 in the beginning or hen enter 10 hexadecimal digits of your choice and apply the setting's.
The number in the key1 box will act as the password to connect to the wireless.
For wpa-psk:-
In the passphrase box enter any password of your own choice between 8 to 63 characters which will be

Connect dlink to n95

Hello...the pre-shared key is also known as the network key, and you can find it within your router settings.

Open a web browser, and login to your router by typing http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.

You are prompted for a username and password. Enter username: admin and leave the password blank, or enter your password if you have set one.

Go to Home >Wireless. You should see your pre-shared key, or network key there.

Hope this helps you, but please come back to Fixya if this does not work or you need further help.
