Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

My Red iLO

I received a Creative MuVu V100 for Christmas. I installed the software on my computer. Then connected the player to the computer. It just kept transferring and wouldn't be recognized by the computer. I did the same on my laptop computer. Same results. Returned the player and got a second one. Same results on both computers. Returned that player and purchased an ILO mp3 player (2 GB). This just says transferring - for about an hour. Then it will finally say connected. When I open Windows Media Player or Real Player, it will not recognize the player.
I have Windows XP on both computers (Home Edition on one and Professional on the laptop), 2Ghz processor, 600 MB of RAM, and I've tried it in several USB ports (they work with my other external drives, camera, etc.). If I can get it to register on the device manager or show up in My Computer as a drive, I can click on it but it freezes up the computer. HELP. I think it is driving me crazy.

    I've tried that on both computers and it still doesn't recognize it as an attached device.

Reinstall Windows Media Player, make sure you have the latest version (Version 11)

I have a muvo V100 I want to give my mom. I deleted all my music from it and want to know if she will need to install the software on her computer and register it as it will prompt her to do?


she might want to install the software depending on how computer savy she is and she shouldnt need to register it, the rewgistration is just fopr creative to keep track of their products and wont affect her using it, that model supports drag and dropping music to the device so the software is pointless, and if she wants the software then she can just goto support.creative.com and find that model and get it

Use recovery tool from Creative labs, click at the site at support, you'll find here the recovery tool,
this will reflash te firmware for all types creative labs mp3 players.

Problem with my muvo v100 2GB


you may have already done this, but try pluggin it on another pc and see if it recognizes it, if it does. then your computer may have problem.

after "connecting it" go to device manager and see if your device shows there.

check if there is any software that came with the mp3 player. and install if there is .

Creative Muvo V100 is not working


My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in July 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.05.01.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Putting music in different folders


Within WMP 10 create a few playlists and drag/drop music files to the appropriate playlist (drag whole albums or individual songs). When you have constructed and filled your playlist(s) connect your player, open the sync tab, and drag the playlist(s) to the sync box. Click sync and smile. ;)

Go the the Home page of Creative.com and navigate to the location for the installation software (came with player within its package). Therein you will find an expanded user manual.
